Case Study: from endlessly playing catch-up to planned work-life rhythm

Kate came to me because whilst she is a world leading expert in her field with an in-person consultancy, online programmes, academic standing and a competitive hobby she is pursuing world titles in, she was feeling rather stressed by the demands of it all.

During our time together she gained the confidence to open a new office, hire and develop staff, as well as redefine the bigger picture of her year so that she could have the mental headspace to be free for her competitive pursuits, using the fallow season in her consulting work to pursue qualifiers for competitive events, and then being able to ease off qualifiers when her consultancy and online programmes are in full flow.

We found ways to use her neurodiversity as a strength, and added in practices which were beneficial to her for keeping track and simplifying the details in each moving part of her business.

Seeing her come onto calls with relaxed body posture and hearing how she was ease-fully accomplishing what had previously been immensely difficult for her are things that bring me joy. Hearing Kate (not her real name) describe her recent accomplishments as if they are no big deal is a delight because it underscores how much their learning has become natural to them: they're not in the process of change any longer, they ARE changed.

I know that there is so much more to come for Kate and I'm excited to see how her expertise is going to continue to be recognised, amplified and established on the global stage.
